The former location of State Line Tower. What once controlled one of the busiest, most complex interlockings in the country (27 diamonds!) is now completely overgrown.

Taken from the MON-BOCT diamond location. The gap between the trees right in front of me is approximately where Monon track ownership started. Looking north towards Chicago.

The MON-BOCT diamond location. The Monon also crossed the NKP and IHB at State Line (for a total of 5 diamonds), but did so on rails borrowed from CWI. Looking south towards Louisville.

Moving south to the other major junction north of Hammond, this is the location of Hohman Tower. Looking west.

Hohman Tower location, looking east. Hohman Junction was slightly smaller than State Line, with *only* 20 diamonds, but it made up for it by having several diamonds embedded in the asphalt of Hohman Avenue.

Taken from the MON-NYC diamond location. There used to be another track here, with the northernmost two being NYC. Looking north towards Chicago.

The MON-NYC diamond location. Technically this was a MC line, but whatever, same difference. Looking south towards Louisville.

Taken from the MON-IHB diamond location. Immediately south of the two NYC tracks were two IHB tracks, both of which are still very active. Looking north towards Chicago.

The MON-IHB diamond location. All three surviving tracks are owned by IHB. Looking south towards Louisville.

Taken from the Marble Street crossing. Looking north towards Chicago.

The Marble Street crossing. Looking south towards Louisville.

Taken from the Willow Court crossing. Looking north towards Chicago.

The Willow Court crossing. Looking south towards Louisville.

Taken from the Hohman Avenue overpass. In the 90s, Hammond finally got tired of having a busy street run right through Hohman Junction at grade, so they build this bridge. Looking north towards Chicago.

The Hohman Avenue overpass. Looking south towards Louisville.
