1 - The northern part of the passing siding is being ripped up. They must be making progress, because this pile of tie plates is pretty big. Also note that the ties are still in place up to the State Road 114 crossing. Looking south towards Louisville.

2 - The rails end just south of the South County Road 150 West crossing. I think it may be a bit dangerous to end the track without any wheelstops though.

3 - At least I did think that, until I noticed that the switch has been completely removed. Note the derailer, which is very important to have on a track that is severed at both ends. Looking north toward Chicago.

4 - This switch assembly was in some weeds on the south side of the track around 400-450 feet south of the State Road 114 crossing. I wonder if this is the switch from the passing siding, but it's pretty far away.

5 - According to the timetables, Pleasant Ridge is located at milepost 77.0. It must be around here somewhere... Looking north toward Chicago.

6 - Signal 77.1 stands guard just south of the State Road 114. Looking south toward Louisville.

7 - The grain elevator, formally known as Gavilion Grain. Looking north toward Chicago.

9 - An overview of the Gavilion Grain yard area. This is just south of the elevator.

10 - The loading bay at the elevator. It's not easily visible from this angle, but there is some corn on the ground, so it must be in use.

11 - I have another reason to believe this elevator is still in use: there are a bunch of covered hoppers spotted on one of the sidings.

12 - Gavilion Grain even has a Shuttlewagon switcher. Clearly business is booming.

13 - Just south of Gavilion Grain is Iroquois Bio-Energy, with a relatively new-looking four-track stub yard and some tank cars. Apologies for only having taken one picture, this one was harder to get close to.
