2003 Convention
Monticello, Indiana
October 3-4-5, 2003 the Society met in Monticello for
their annual convention. The Brandywine Hotel served as Convention Headquarters
and the staff went "above and beyond" the call of duty to make the Society
members staying and attending the convention feel right at home. A hearty
"thank you" goes out to the staff of the hotel.

The convention included
a bus tour of the a Chicago
And Wabash Valley Railroad and parts of the First Subdivision from
Hammond to Rose Lawn. From all accounts, those who attended the bus tour
were pleased and throughly enjoyed the day. There was also a group taking
in the sites of Delphi, Indiana and they had a marvelous time too. Mahlon
"Cookie" Eberhard entertained those in attendance at the banquet.
His stories
about his
years on the
railroad
entertained all in attendance. Several people showed slides after the
banquet and they were enjoyed by those in attendance.
